In the never-ending quest to fight increasing grocery prices, you should check out these store deals if you have them in your area:

Mary Pat of Marietta, Georgia reports that she is finding the lowest milk prices at her local Aldi store.  For the past few weeks their price for a gallon of milk has been $2.49.  That is the lowest price of any local store including Costco.

I have been buying these items at my local Trader Joe’s because they are less expensive than either of my supermarkets and I am too far from a Costco to justify the gas expense:

Bananas 19 cents each (supermarket 25 cents)

Medium sized Gala apples 49 cents each (supermarket 75 cents)

Sunkist navel oranges 39 cents each (supermarket 50 cents)

Romaine lettuce hearts, 3 to an 18 oz. pkg. $2.29 (supermarket $2.99)
